Disposables for Anesthesia

Anesthesia and Analgesia play a key role in medical and surgical procedures and during the postoperative phase.
In a peri-operative therapy process, in order to effectively control pain while reducing opioid consumption and related side effects, several approaches are used: the multimodal approach, general anesthesia, and systemic analgesia. Within the range of MV EMAFlow® sets and accessories there are all the configurations of products intended for specific use in anesthesia. The standard FLOWLine® infusion lines can also be used, they are listed in the dedicated section o this catalogue.
Preparation
The preparation of anesthetic and analgesic drugs depends on the type and anesthesiologic technique chosen. In general, it is necessary to define the drug, medical devices, and equipment needed for the procedure.
Unless you have a ready-to-use drug, you have to perform the preparation procedures using our EMAFlow® Accessories and FLOWLine® Transfer Sets to transfer it to the appropriate containers for administration, in syringe or elastomeric pump.
Application
The administration of anesthesia and analgesic therapy depends largely on the chosen approach.
For example, the Target Controlled Infusion (TCI) method, through the use of pharmacokinetic algorithms available in infusion pumps, makes TIVA simpler and more effective. For the TCI the EMAFlow® Administration and Extension Sets can be used, allowing precise flow and safe connection to the pumps.
